Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd. (MCL), the Coal India subsidiary operating out of Odisha, has recorded coal despatches at over 150 mnt in the ongoing fiscal, becoming the second CIL subsidiary ever to achieve this feat. Previously, South Eastern Coalfields Ltd. (SECL) had recorded 156.08 mnt of despatches in FY’19. MCL’s total despatches in the current fiscal stood at 150.52 mnt on 9 Feb, up 22% y-o-y.
