India: MCL achieves 100 mnt coal production between Apr-Oct’22

Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) – largest coal producing subsidiary of Coal India – has achieved the milestone of 100 mnt of coal production between 1 Apr’22-25 Oct’22, recording a 14% rise from its target of 87.8 mnt in this period. The miner’s annual production in FY22 (Apr’21-Mar’22) stood at 168 mnt while its target for FY23 is 176 mnt.
