Indian Manganese Ore imports went down by 9.60% in Jan’19 M-o-M with total imports as 168,506MT. Imports in Jan’19 sunk by 7.60% as compared to Jan’18.
South Africa remained the largest exporter of manganese Ore for India in Jan’19 with total exports of 70,111MT. South African Manganese Ores accounted for the 21% of the total Manganese Ores imported by India. Australia, Gabon and Zambia were the other major exporting countries for India with 13%, 6% and 4% shares in the total Manganese Ore Imported.
Imports from South Africa, Gabon, Brazil and Cote D Ivoire were reduced by 22.73%, 39.95%, 11.45% and 85.24% M-o-M respectively. However, significant growth was noticed for Australia and Zambia as compared to the previous Month.
