India: Major IF mills raise rebar prices by INR 500/t in Raipur

Central India (Raipur) based Goel TMT has increased re-bar (Fe-500D, 10-25 mm) prices by INR 500/t to INR 54,600/t exw, while GK TMT has raised prices by INR 500/t to INR 54,200/t (GST and other charges extra). Elevated demand in finished products especially in rebar and wire rod amidst shortage of Billet in spot market, have prompt rebar prices higher.
SteelMint’s daily steel billet index was assessed at INR 47,000/tonne (t) exw-Raipur on 17 Jun, rose by INR 600/t, d-o- d.
