| S.no | Name of Goods Shed | Maximum no. Of indents that can be registered |
| 1 | Daitari | 15 |
| 2 | Goaldih | 9 |
| 3 | Nayagarh | 36 |
| 4 | Porjanpur | 12 |
| 5 | Sukinda Road | 15 |
What could be its impact? As per reports received from trade sources, the eastern India based steelmakers and iron ore traders are worried about the capping of indents as Odisha is India’s largest iron ore producing state which accounts for India’s 50% of country’s iron ore output. Market participants expect that this might further slow down the material movement from Odisha to nearby states which was already facing road logistics issues.
According to data maintained with SteelMint, Nayagarh siding is key for iron ore movement from Odisha and the primary steel mills that procure iron ore from that siding include – Bhushan Steel, Bhushan Power & Steel, Tata Steel, JSPL, JSW Steel Dolvi. In CY18 nearly 8 MnT iron ore was moved from this siding.
Similarly, Daitari siding is the key siding of iron ore supply to Bhushan Steel, NINL, Vizag Steel, JSPL and others.
