Melting scrap prices continued to fall on a d-o-d basis due to lack of demand for finish steel which pushed down semi-finished prices that ultimately put pressure on sponge iron and scrap prices. Traders are adopting a cautious attitude due to uncertainty in steel prices and are looking for clearer market trends, SteelMint learnt from reliable sources.
