Jindal Steel and Power Ltd (JSPL) had scheduled an auction for 100,000 t of iron ore fines (Fe56.5%) on 22 July. The material was from the company’s TRB mines in Tensa, Odisha with the floor price set at INR 1,500/wet metric tonne (WMT) ex-mines (including royalty, DMF and NMET). According to market sources, the auction failed to receive any response.
