Integrated steel producer JSPL bought over 100,000 t of iron ore at OMC’s latest auction for 340,000 t of lump ore and 687,000 t of fines, as per reports. After long-term sourcing from Sarda Mines stopped earlier this year, JSPL had ramped up merchant purchases. With steel production capacity of 8.6 mn t/year, JSPL started operations at its Kasia iron ore block in Odisha in Nov’21.
