Steel billet prices in China’s Tangshan remained stable at RMB 4,360/t ($684/t), inclusive of 13% VAT on 17 Dec’21. According to data maintained with SteelMint, China’s rebar futures contract for May’22 delivery on the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) closed today at RMB 4,505/t ($706/t), a decrease of RMB 24/t ($4/t), d-o-d.
