India: Jindal SAW posts over 20% growth in pellet sales in FY’22

Western India-based Jindal SAW Ltd. recorded total pellet sales at 1.52 mnt in FY’22 as against 1.26 mn t in FY’21. Total production for the fiscal was recorded at 1.5 mnt.
On a quarterly basis, the company produced 384,000 t pellets in Q4 FY’22, up 5% q-o-q as against 367,000 t in Q4 FY’21.
Tariffs on exports are expected to have a short-term impact on demand and profitability in the pellet segment.
