India: Jindal SAW Increase Pellet Offers over Higher Imported Lump Offers

Jindal SAW raised pellet offers over hike in lump premium which made imported lump costlier. Presently it should be around USD 75-80/MT, CFR India. Current offers for Fe 63% pellets are at INR 5650/MT delivered Kandla up INR 200/MT.

A growth of 48% was observed over four weeks lump premium prices as it stood at USD 0.2085/DMTU against USD 0.1405/DMTU.

The vessel carrying around 90,000 MT South African lump is bought at Kandla port. It is heard is booked by four companies namely SAL Steel, Welspun, Electrotherm and Varrsana.

JSPL Offers for Domestic Market Up: JSPL have raised pellet offers by INR 300/MT. Current offers are at INR 4100/MT (loaded to wagons) due to higher realizations in exports.

As per trade sources report to SteelMint, the markets in west and south part of the country were stable without any noticeable change in offers. However in central India pellet offers were down by INR 100/MT W-o-W.
