About 2,300 t of billet deals were previously confirmed at around INR 41,200-41,500/t exw-Ramgarh (Jharkhand), of which 1,300 t of deals (LC grade) had been confirmed for Mandi Gobindgarh in Punjab at around 41,400-41,500/t exw, equivalent to INR 44,000/t delivered to Mandi (on advance payment terms).
However, producers later increased prices and offers were floated at around INR 41,600-41,800/t exw-Ramgarh.
With rising prices in the northern region, billet prices across locations are finding support, as sufficient orders have been received by suppliers.
