India: Jayaswal Neco starts Production from 1.2 MnT Pellet Plant

Jayaswal Neco, one of the largest steel plant in Central India, have started commercial production from its 1.2 MnT Pellet plant located in Raipur (Chhattisgarh). Plant is based on Straight Grate Kiln Technology and is well connected with rail and road network.

There are total 8 Pellet plants in Chhattisgarh with an annual capacity of 5.8 MnT and another 2 MnT of Monnet Ispat is in pipeline, which is expected to be commissioned by this quarter end.

Pellet Supply increases

Pellet supply is increasing in the state, which has put some pressure on prices. Some of Pellet manufacturers are forced to cut down their production because of high cost of raw material and low demand of Pellets. Current prices are in the range of INR 7,300-7,400/MT ex-works.
