India’s iron ore production is witnessing significant augmentation in this fiscal. In Nov’16, India’s iron ore production was recorded at 16.3 MnT against 15.9 MnT in Oct’16.
On yearly basis, (i.e. compared to Nov’15), Indian iron ore production has exhibited growth of 28.3%. Nation’s iron ore production was recorded at about 12.7 MnT.
So far in this fiscal, (till Nov’16) India’s iron ore production summed up to 116.2 MnT, up 27% Y-o-Y. From Apr’15-Nov’15, India’s iron ore production was recorded at 91.8 MnT.
Iron ore production in Odisha remained stable at 8.68 MnT in Nov’16 compared to 8.67 MnT in Oct’16. Rungta Mines (Odisha) produced 2.59 MnT iron ore in Nov’16. From Apr-Nov’16, iron ore production in Odisha stood at 59.43 MnT compared to 45.46 MnT in the same period last fiscal.
NMDC’s iron ore production increased 15% M-o-M from 2.87 MnT in Oct’16 to 3.29 MnT in Nov’16. Out of 3.29 MnT iron ore produced by NMDC in Nov’16, 2.28 MnT was produced from Chhattisgarh mines and rest 1.01 MnT was produced from its mines in Karnataka.
