India: Iron ore lump import offers from South Africa slide $10/t, w-o-w

South African iron ore lump import offers into India have decreased, tracking the slide in global iron ore prices, as per SteelMint reports. The current assessment for imported lump (Fe 65%) stands at $160/t CNF Kandla. Benchmark global iron ore fines (Fe 62%) prices have decreased by $9/t, w-o-w, to $144/t CNF China on 2 Sept’21 amid steel production curbs. The spot iron ore lump premium has fallen from $0.13/dry mtu, as assessed last week, to $0.075/dmtu this week.
