In a confirmed deal, 3,000 t of 5100 GAR coal was sold at INR 9,500/t ex-Vizag, whereas it came to around INR 12,000/t, ex-plant delivered in Raipur. Portside prices for this grade have moved up by INR 300-500/t in the past two weeks on rising prices of imported Indonesian coal. The demand for 5100 GAR grade coal from key users, rolling mills mainly, continue to remain under pressure due to high raw material costs and weak sales.
