India: Ind Synergy gets environmental clearance to expand sponge iron capacity

Ind Synergy Ltd has received an environmental clearance (EC) for its proposed capacity expansion of Raigarh-based sponge iron plant to 6,30,000 t/year from 3,00,000 t/year at present. In addition, it has received clearances to expand steel melting shop (to 4,40,000 t/year) and coal washery (to 9,00,000 t/year) and EC proposed to set up a new pellet plant (6,00,000 t/year) and rolling mill (5,00,000 t/year).
