Raipur-based GK TMT has raised prices by INR 500/t to INR 47,800/t exw. GOEL TMT has hiked prices by INR 600/t to INR 48,100/t exw. Prices are for re-bar (Fe-500D, 10-25 mm), excluding GST. Rising demand and trade for re-bar in the spot market and increasing prices of semi-finished steel have triggered a rally in re-bar prices in central India. Higher raw material costs indicate that prices could remain high in the near term.
