China’s coal production in Jan-Aug’21 increased by 4% to 2,597.24 million tonnes (mn t). Shanxi province become the largest coal producing province with 775.4 mn t. Compared to last year, Shanxi’s production increased by 13%. Inner Mongolia is the second largest coal producing province with 649 mn t followed by Shaanxi Province which is in third place with 455 mnt.
