Secondary rebar prices witnessed a hike of INR 100-500/t ($7) d-o-d in most of the major markets in India. However, in a few locations sellers preferred to keep offers stable and provide discounts as per requirements. Rise in semi-finished steel prices in the leading markets led to a hike in rebar prices. Trading activity and buying inquiries remained limited in all the major markets, sources told SteelMint.
