The government has planned to auction five-six mineral blocks, including an iron ore and two bauxite mines, in Madhya Pradesh in the next three months. Due mainly to commercial unviability, these blocks had failed to attract bids previously. Of the eight blocks auctioned in the state since FY17, three were limestone mines while one was iron ore.
