Domestic ferrous scrap prices remained volatile across markets on 5 May’22. Prices remained supported in north India on supply concerns. Meanwhile, in western India, prices corrected sharply downwards by INR 1,000/t, especially in the Alang market, due to the lack of demand of material for induction furnace buyers. In south India, however, prices remained stable d-o-d.
