Ferro Silicon market was quiet this week, with sources continuing to cite a thinly traded market and suggesting that the low trading volume has prevented any movement in prices
Ferro Silicon Prices in Bhutan remains unchanged in the market on steady demand. Current offers for grade 70-75 are balanced at INR 64,000 /MT (Ex-Bhutan).
A producer source from Bhutan remarked “The market has been looking really steady of late; showing very little signs of any significant movement in either direction. So I think there aren’t going to be much movement in prices”.
In line with steady prices in Bhutan, Ferro Silicon producers in India also keep their prices firm. Ferro Silicon grade 70-75 is hovering around INR 62,000/MT (Ex-Guwahati). Domestic demand for the material is low but constant as the steel market has picked up.
Ferro Silicon market should run steadily and prices may stay at current levels, with demand returning.
