Ferro silicon prices are unchanged this week too, as offers from sellers remains supported by steady demand from the Indian domestic market.
Amid stable buying activity, Bhutan based Ferro silicon producers have kept the mainstream prices for 70-75% grade unchanged, with deals being concluded at INR 65,000/MT (Ex-Bhutan). A producer from Bhutan stated, “Ferro silico prices will remain at these levels in this month as producers are not under any selling pressure.”
Export offers from Bhutan to Europe are at around USD 1,030/MT FoB Kolkata.
Indian Ferro Silicon prices also remain unchanged supported by firm Bhutanese Ferro Silicon prices, leading to deals being concluded at firmer levels.
SteelMint weekly assessment for ferro silicon (grade 70-75) is at INR 63,000/MT (Ex-Guwahati).
“The market is steady with good demand and currently we’re seeing no changes. Although no new positive sentiment exists for increasing prices,” said a producer based in Meghalaya.
SteelMint learned from market sources that the ferro silicon market is to remain steady at this level and not much change is expected in terms of prices and market conditions in this month.
