D-o-d, prices held steady in Raipur on Friday. In contrast, prices in Mandi Gobindgarh slipped by INR 100/t compared to the previous day.
Weekly average prices:
Phe prices in Mandi increased this week, while prices in Raipur also recorded a rise compared to the previous week.
Raipur: Prices edged up by INR 800/t w-o-w on Friday to INR 42,800/t from INR 42,000/t on 28 February.
Mandi: Prices rose by INR 500/t w-o-w on Friday to INR 44,700/t compared to INR 44,200/t last week.
Demand improvement:
Patra-based pipe prices have consistently increased this week in both Mandi and Raipur, reflecting strong demand and positive market momentum. The ongoing price increase is also driven by higher raw material costs, particularly hot-rolled strip (patra).
Raw materials price impact:
HR strip (patra) prices increased by INR 1,000/t w-o-w to INR 42,600/t exw Raipur as on 7 March compared to INR 41,600/t exw Raipur on 28 February. However, patra prices in Mandi rose by INR 300/t w-o-w to INR 43,700/t compared to INR 43,400/t a week ago.
Steel billet prices in Raipur dropped by INR 50/t w-o-w to INR 40,050/t exw Raipur on 7 March compared to INR 40,100/t last week. However, billet prices in Mandi remained stable w-o-w.
