Coal India subsidiary Eastern Coalfields Ltd (ECL) revised the surface transportation charges (STC) which are imposed on customers for transporting coal from mines to the loading points. STC has been increased by INR 5/t for distance up to 3 km, while for remaining distance slabs, it was kept unchanged. For distance more than 20 km, the charge will be payable on lead basis.
