Raipur, Central India based steel manufacturer Drolia Electrosteels Pvt. Ltd has started commercial production at its rolling mill.
In an interaction with SteelMint, Mr. Anand Choudhary, Director at Drolia Electrosteels said that the mill has an installed capacity of 1,50,000 MT per annum for both wire rod and re-bars.
Earlier the company was selling billets in merchant market, however with recent commencement of finished steel production, the company plans to halt billet supply in merchant market.
The company is selling wire rod & rebars under the brand name of “DROLIA“. In context to price range, the recent trades of 12mm rebars reported at INR 29,600/MT & about INR 29,900/MT for 5.5mm Wire rod; ex-plant, excluding loading & 18% GST.
Drolia Electrosteels Pvt Ltd is a manufacturer of iron and steel products, set up in 1994. The company’s installed capacity of billets is about 1,50,000 MT & Sponge iron about 66,000 MT pa. The manufacturing plant is located in Siltara village in Raipur and to support the manufacturing operations, DEPL has commissioned its 11-megawatt captive power plant in May 2010.
