Union Minister Prahlad Joshi has assured that the dispute over 80% premium payment from NMDC’s Donimalai iron ore mines will be resolved within three months. Operations at the 7 mn t pa project are stalled since the termination of lease period in Oct’18. A govt panel will decide the royalty to be levied which has been hiked from 15% to 37.5%. Initiation of mining is likely to alleviate domestic supply concerns.
