India: Domestic non-coking coal prices increase w-o-w on firm SECL bids

Domestic non-coking coal prices increased w-o-w amid stronger auction bids and firm imported coal price trends. As per BigMint’s assessment, 4,500 GCV rose to INR 4,900/t and 5,000 GCV to INR 5,950/t exw Bilaspur. The 19 Feb’26 SECL auction saw high-grade bids rise by INR 150-200/t against the previous event. SECL will also auction 1,768,000 t of non-coking coal on 26 Feb’26.
