India: CIL touches 600 mnt coal production in FY’22

State-run miner-Coal India Ltd (CIL) has crossed 600 mnt of coal production in the ongoing fiscal (FY’22). As on 23 Mar’22, the company’s production was recorded at 600.29 mnt, up 5% y-o-y. This is the third-time CIL has attained this feat. Till date, the average production in Mar’22 is registered at 2.52 mnt/day, slightly lower compared to 2.62 mnt/day in Mar’21.
