Coal India Ltd (CIL) the biggest state owned Coal miner has signed 17 more fuel pacts to supply coal for capacity of 15,440 MW.
CIL has signed Fuel Supply Agreement (FSA) for Adani's Maharashtra unit of 3,330 MW, JSPL's Tamnar unit of 1200 MW, JP Power's 3×600 MW units and Lanco's Amarkantak unit of 1,920 MW.
Now CIL has signed total 95 FSA and has reported still 150 FSA is under negotiation phase.
CIL is targeting to sell around 493 Million tonnes (MnT) of Coal in current financial year. However they are working on improvement for efficient dispatches from the mines.
Mr. S.Narsing Rao, CMD of CIL spoke to media and mentioned “According to our target as on today we are running certainly a shortfall of about 5 MnT production and around 3.5 MnT in the coal offtake. We might end the first half, which is 30th September, around the same. We have to make up the shortfall in the second half. We are pretty confident. We should be able to achieve the 482 MnT of production and 492 MnT of off take”.
