Coal India Ltd (CIL) has procured only 283,000 t of thermal coal against the tender for imported coal supply of 6 mnt awarded to Indonesian firm-Bara Daya Energi. The tender was floated on behalf of private and state-run power plants on indent basis, but with the improvement in the inventory levels, the plants are not placing fresh orders for imported coal supply.
