Ramgarh (Jharkhand) based Brahmaputra Metallics has raised its billet price by INR 500/t to INR 39,300/t exw, (equivalent to INR 42,000/t FoR Punjab), SteelMint confirmed from sources. As per company officials, they have sufficient domestic & export orders in hand and dispatches are due. Recent deals have been reported for Nepal at around $540/t exw, equivalent to $565/t CPT. Further, they are expecting a hike in offers by around INR 1,000/t in the beginning of Jan following rising prices by primary mills along with strong orders. The company is a premium grade billet producer in eastern India having a capacity of 150,000 t pa.
