Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) conducted an auction from its Central India based Bhilai Steel Plant for defective steel products on 02 Mar ’21.The auction fetched a better response on improved buying interest, sources said.
12,797 t of defective steel was put up for auction, in which 100% material was sold out.
Bid prices for bloom also moved up by INR 950/t against the previous auction conducted on 20 Feb’21.
SteelMint’s billet index stood at INR 38,300/t exw Raipur on 03 Mar’21 in comparison with INR 37,450/t on 20 Feb’21.
