The auto industry makes recommendations to the Govt. in respect to the production-linked incentive (PLI) scheme. In its proposals, the auto sector seeks to incentivize large auto component MNCs to establish their mother plants and sourcing hubs and support Indian companies to create and develop MNCs on a global scale. Also, it asks for a long-term technology and regulatory roadmap to encourage localization.
