Steel Authority of India Limited’s conducted an auction at its Central India based Bhilai Steel Plant for defective steel products on 27 Jan ’21. The auction received a lukewarm response with fall in bid prices compared to the last auction conducted on 16 Jan ’21.
A total quantity of 21,740 t defective steel was put up for auction, out of which 12,655 t (58.28%) was sold and 9,085 t remained unsold. In the previous auction held on 16 Jan ’21, the share of total sold quantity was around (84.44%).
SteelMint BILLET index (Exw Raipur) = Rs 35,600(-100) on 27 Jan’21.
