SAIL held an auction for 1,500 t of steel grade pig iron (by road) on 1 Dec’21 from its IISCO steel plant in West Bengal. Buyers booked the entire quantity at a weighted average price of INR 36,200/t exw, sources informed SteelMint. Bid prices decreased by INR 4,900/t in comparison with the previous auction held on 10 Nov.
