SAIL conducted an auction for 4,000 t prime steel grade pig iron today from its Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP), Chhattisgarh. The entire material was booked at INR 27,250-27,500/t exw, SteelMint learned from sources. However, bid price lowered by INR 400/t as against the last auction price of INR 27,750-27,900/t exw, conducted on 04 Sep’20. Curtailed furnaces production along with fall in billet prices resulted in low bids in BSP auction.
