Sponge iron prices in Karnataka’s Bellary remained unchanged on 3 Aug’21. Current offers for sponge C-DRI are at INR 30,900-31,000/t ($416-418) and around 1,700 t of deals were reported at INR 30,800/t exw-Bellary. About 2,400 t of P-DRI deals were confirmed at INR 29,300-29,400/t against offers at INR 29,500-29,600/t exw. Sponge iron prices are likely to follow the topsy-turvy in raw materials prices.
