- Aluminium production by key companies, Balco and Hindalco, decreased m-o-m in Feb’22, as per latest data released by the Ministry of Mines, Government of India.
- Balco produced 45,000 t in Feb’22, a decrease of 8% m-o-m while Hindalco churned out 102,000 t, down 9% m-o-m.
- On a y-o-y basis, the former saw a marginal rise of 1% and the latter witnessed a 4% rise.
- Hindalco and Balco account for 34% and 15% of the domestic market share, respectively.
