SAIL held an auction for 3,000 t of basic pig iron (in 30 units) on 16 Jun’22 from the Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP). Buyers booked the entire quantity at a weighted average price of INR 43,400/t exw. Bid prices increased by INR 400/t as against the previous auction from the plant. In another auction on the same day from the IISCO Steel Plant, Burnpur, buyers booked only 500 t out of the 3,500 t of pig iron at a weighted average price of 44,480/t exw.
