Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market decreased by INR 300/t d-o-d on 7 Feb’24, as per BigMint’s assessment. HMS (80:20) prices were assessed at INR 33,500/t exy. Semi-finished steel prices fell by around INR 300-500/t in the region in yesterday’s trading session along with disparity in bids and offers for scrap prompted suppliers to lower their offers today.
