The Adani Group has launched a major battery storage project at Khavda, Gujarat — 1,126 MW capacity with 3,530 MWh energy-storage capability — slated for completion by Mar’26. The installation will include over 700 lithium-ion battery containers integrated with advanced energy management systems to enhance grid stability and renewable integration. The group also plans to expand capacity to 15 GWh by Mar’27 and 50 GWh within 5 years.
