South Africa exported 2,158 ‘000MT of Non Coking coal to India during Oct’16, data compiled by CoalMint Research shows. As a matter of fact, India is the largest importer of South African coal.
The export volume to India during the month accounted for around 34.5% of the country’s total exports during the month; and was the highest among the country-wise exports. Following India, Sri Lanka and Pakistan accounted for the second and third highest export volumes, at 520 ‘000MT and 330 ‘000MT respectively.
During the month, South Africa exported 6,239 ‘000MT of Non Coking Coal to various countries.
