Automotive Stampings and Assemblies Ltd (ASAL) conducted an auction for HR-CR punching scrap from its Pune-Maharashtra and Panthnagar-Uttarakhand plants on 23 Mar’23. About 1,200 t was booked from Pune at INR 36,000/t exw and 1,000 t from Panthnagar was booked at INR 46,600/t exw. Due to lower bids, there may be a possibility that the Pune plant may consider re-auctioning, market sources feel.
