DMG, Govt. of Goa has scheduled 15th iron ore e-auction. 7.99 MnT iron ore will be put under hammer in 382 lots. However Goa DMG has yet not declared the date for the e-auction.
Major share of the offered quantity consists of ROM. The offer comprises of 5.89 MnT ROM, 1.48 MnT fines, 0.51 MnT lump and 0.1 MnT fines/lump. 0.98 MnT ROM offered belongs to Vedanta’s Codli mines.

Looking at the offered quantity it can be inferred that Goa govt. has offered the entire balance quantity of iron ore left to be auctioned which was mined prior to the imposition of mining ban in the state.
The month of Jan’16 did not notice any e-auction in Goa. Last e-auction was held on 24 Dec’15 in which 1.17 MnT iron ore was sold out of offered quantity of 2.37 MnT.
By far Goa govt. has manged to sell 8.23 MnT iron ore in the 14 e-auctions conducted since Feb’14.
