Global ferro chrome production falls over 4%, q-o-q, in Q12022

Global ferro chrome production stood at 3.9 mnt in Q12022, down 4.3% as against 4.08 mnt in Q42021. Meanwhile, trades fell 18% to 1.36 mnt on a quarterly basis in Q1. The major exporting countries were South Africa, Kazakhstan and India. Sources informed that India’s production stood at around 263,000 t in Q1. However, chrome ore production increased by 1.5%, q-o-q, to 8.47 mn t in Q1.
