Global crude steel production dips by 1.3% y-o-y in Jul’25: WSA

Global crude steel production decreased by 1.3% y-o-y to 150.1 mnt in Jul’25, as per the World Steel Association (WSA), which draws on data from the 70 countries that report to it.

• China’s output dropped by 4% y-o-y to 79.7 mnt.
• India’s production rose by 14% y-o-y to 14 mnt.
• Japan’s output declined by 2.5% y-o-y to 6.9 mnt.
