Germany, the world’s fourth largest Iron ore importer has imported 3.09 MnT iron ore in Oct’16, according to the trade statistics released by German customs.
Iron ore imports have witnessed a decrease of 7.69% M-o-M as it was 3.35 MnT in Sep’16. However, country’s iron ore imports were slightly up by 2% Y-o-Y for the month as it was 3.04 MnT in Oct’15.
During the first ten months of 2016, the country imported 31.88 MnT iron ore, down by 9% Y-o-Y as it was 35.19 MnT in the same period prior this year.
The non-agglomerated iron ore (lumps and fines) import in Oct’16 was registered at 2.03 MnT, down by 12% M-o-M but it was up by 10% Y-o-Y when compared with the same month last year.
The agglomerated ore (pellets and concentrates) import was registered at same quantity of 1.06 MnT, on M-o-M but was down by 11% Y-o-Y for the corresponding month in 2015.
