Freight on imported coal from Indonesia to East Coast India has gone up to approx USD 16 PMT and USD 19 PMT to the Western Coasts of India. The reason for the increase has not been identified yet, but soon will.
Similarly, freight for Australian Supramax vessels to East coast have increased to around USD 25.5 PMT compared to USD 24 PMT.
Also, vessels from South Africa now attract freight of approx USD 25.5 PMT.
